Showering Kelley with Love!

We "showered" Kelley last night at my house with all my family and good friends over! Kelley was so excited to be having a bridal shower and meeting all our extended family and our favorite friends. We moved the furniture out of the family room and tables~ black and white ~ the wedding colors ~ filled the room instead. Centerpieces with white flowers and candles, napkin rings made with black and white flowers and mini cupcakes with ... yes, black and white chocolate flowers!! I cannot believe how generous everyone was ~ with their time during the holiday to their gifts to this new daughter in law to be of mine! We played a game where we asked Tegan some questions and recorded his voice and then we asked Kelley the same questions to see if she could match his answers! We played the tape after each one to hear his answer and they got 8 of 10 correct!! We also had everyone write a question on a piece of paper ~ a Getting To Know Kelley ~ game and we asked those questions as she opened gifts. Kelley delighted us with her answers and her outgoing personality. I am hoping Dagmara, my camera girl, got some better pictures than I on her camera, since I was busy being a hostess! Here is Kelley, with Molly, who is enjoying a cupcake with her eyes closed... they were that good!!
The Bride to be with her SILs... sisters in laws!! Bridget, Beckie and Dagmara. A bride and some of her bridesmaids!!
So sweet...
A full house...
Debbie... who is the best ever, and Dagmara serving some treats! Debbie was such a big help, as usual~~ from cooking to cleaning up afterwards. Friend... I am so glad you are mine!!
Just some of the loot Kelley Marie will be shipping home to Colorado! A bouquet made of ribbons~~
Thank You to everyone for making the night so special for Kelley!!

Sarah showing everyone what to do with the napkin rings after the shower... string them onto a ribbon and tie it around your waist... Lovely!!

Roxi.... We missed You!!!!

Merry Christmas Morning!

..and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. -- Luke 1:7

Some Good News...

Want some exciting, good news this Christmas? Go here and smile with us!!

Measure, Mix, Sprinkle, Bake, and Decorate!

Oh the fun... oh the mess!! Beckie, Bridget, Sarah, Molly, Cayden and I made some Christmas sugar cookies!! Sarah was the official stir-er, while Molly...
measured the flour, over and over again. Meme would sneak the bowls away and re-dump her flour so she could fill the bowl again!! She was busy!
They both were!
Precision decorating followed once the cookies were cooled.
Such fine motor skills!
With a lick here or there...
Who could resist? Yum!
Cayden enjoyed having lunch with Sarah too!
Tegan and Kelley come home tomorrow... we saved them some cookies! Snip and Snap are coming too... look out! We say goodbye to our little elf on the shelve, as she must get back to Santa and give a full report! See ya Alice!

Here comes Santa Claus...

Our good friends, Meigan and Dennis, hosted a children's Christmas party at their home this past Saturday! They invited 37 children, with parents and grandparents in tow! Here is Dave and Meigan sharing some holiday cheer!
Cookies were baked and shared! Children found cookies with their names on them...
and promptly began to eat them!! Here is Sarah munching around her name!

Families brought together...
Guests welcomed by Dennis the elf...
Katie, the elf who was Santa's right hand girl!

Friends got caught up with each other...

Romances rekindled... oh that Danny just loves our Molly and she loves him too!
Happy, photogenic faces everywhere, just waiting for Santa!

The dancing Santa doll brought out some good moves in this little guy!

Ella and Molly became new little friends!

And then, what to our surprise did arrive... Santa!!
Some "braved" a quick hug while others just watched.

Santa read a story to all...
and then musical instruments were passed to all the children with song sheets for the adults and a little sing-a-long was started!
Santa then gave gifts to each and every child there! Here Danny accepts a gift from Santa!
Cayden got a toy truck that made sounds!
Molly got a doll and Sarah was just so happy for her, telling her "Oh Molly, you are so lucky, Santa knew you wanted a baby and he got you one!" What a nice big sister!
Sarah received a little "cha-wow-wow"! Of course she just loves him to bits!

My little buddy Tyler got Elmo... just look at this face! He walked right over to Santa and this was his face on his way back to his mommy, Melissa.

This is what Christmas is all about!
Thank you Meigan and Dennis... you captured the hearts of children!
