Outdoor Movie Adventure!

I had the girls last night for a sleepover and decided to do something really fun... we packed a Mc Donalds dinner picnic and went to Crocker Park for their summer night movies~

They were very excited...
After they ate, it was just RUN around time! Crocker Park puts up this big screen on Thursdays, all summer long and shows family films! Last night's feature was "Happy Feet"~ The girls sure had Happy Feet!
Molly sat and visited with a new friend...
Sarah organized a rousing game of Duck, Duck, GOOSE!
Music came on the speakers and it was time to Dance, Dance, Dance!
Before long, this grassy area was covered with blankets and people!!

Soon, it got dark. Our friend Danny came with his Nana, Meigan and we all got ready to watch the show. Danny even brought along his penguin!!
This morning, Sarah called her Mom and told her about the movie night.

Molly asked Mommy, "Do you want to come next time?"

Sarah took the phone back to tell Mommy:

"The next movie is Dirty Dancing"...

I wonder what Mommy thinks about that one!!

Home Again, Home Again!

I had a fabulous time on Clear Lake in Indiana! Curt, Cyle's dad... a.k.a. "Pam-Paw", as Cayden calls him, took us for a boat cruise around the lake. We saw spectacular homes... people lovingly called lake houses! Houses sit close together, but that's the way it's been for years, and people are long time friends! Families have owned these homes and pass them down, some are shared by siblings, some have only one family owner. Here is a neighbors house... and his PLANE!!
Many have beautiful stone work and stone walls around the front of the lots. The house next to this one is for sale... Nancy? Asking price $1 Million.
Think of the lovely evenings that could be spent relaxing on these chairs and watching the sunset!
All wonderfully beautiful sites to see ...

But my eyes were drawn to this...

A boy and his "Pam-Paw"

Driving the boat together.

Here is the Wilkinson lake house. Like I said before, this house is NEW... but the family has been on this piece of land for many, many, years. Curt spent summers here as a boy, his Grandfather being the owner then, and now he owns this family treasure.
My Bridget, Cayden and soon Mya, are lucky to have a fun haven to retreat too with family. Cayden will follow in his Daddy's footsteps and "run this lake" when he and his cousin Mason are bigger boys!! Look out!
Curt,
Thanks for the fun weekend birthday celebration! I am thrilled to be a Cribbage Player now and can't wait to perfect my game and Beat You one day! ( We learned the game and even kept score on a board made by Cayden's Great, Great, Grandpa in 1916... carved his name and year right into it!)
Can't wait to visit again!

Cayden takes Meme to Clear Lake!

We went to Clear Lake for the weekend to celebrate Cayden and his Aunt Joy's birthday! Cayden got a fun bowling set...
and got to spend time with Grandpa, Aunt Joy and this little guy, his cousin Mason!
Isn't he adorable?
Cayden likes him alot!!
"Baby, yeah!"
"I walk baby!"
Exploring on his own!
A new bike... gently used from Aunt Joy. She finds all the best toys!
"Thanks"
A boat ride with mommy and meme with Grandpa driving!
Isn't he precious?
The Wilkinson Lake house (the green one in the tree) # 526... such a fun relaxing home away from home... They call it "Linger Longer". I borrowed the name and lent it to Roxi for her camp on the Allegheny River which they call "Camp Linger Longer"! The Wilkinson's had two houses here originally, one in front called "We Will" and one in back called "Linger Longer!" Cayden's grandpa recently tore them down and built the new "Linger Longer" and he plans to retire here next year!
More pictures to come!

Swim like a fish... and Naughty granddaughters!

Sarah... wearing her homemade scuba gear!! She cracks me up! Look how she holds her breath when she puts this on to show me. Funny, Funny girl!
She has been taking swimming lesson at LCC with Maureen, one of the lifeguards.

While Sarah practices... Molly hangs around the edge of the pool. This one is even funnier!! She is wearing a pair of baby sunglasses, thinking they are goggles. She would bend over like this, and BARELY stick her face in the water...
"Did you see me do that Meme?' Oh Yeah... I saw it!!

Molly and Mommy sit and watch Sarah getting ready to jump off the diving board.

What a thrill for Sarah!! Just check out this form!
Sarah had to swim the length of the pool to be able to use the diving board and slide. She did it and was excited to get on the slide. She tried the slide... twice- liking it until being tossed around inside and scared, then refused to go on it again.
Oh my little sun bathing beauties... They love to just soak it all in!
Sisters!

Mya and Layla have been being quite naughty lately. Bridget had contractions last Wednesday... all day. She saw her doctor who told her to lay low till this past Monday-- no work, just rest. No pre term labor please, Mya!

Layla gave us a scare this week. Kelley hadn't been feeling her moving and had her doctor check her and they put her on a heart monitor that showed decelerations in Layla's heart rate. They ordered a stat ultrasound to check amino fluid and to see if the cord was around her neck. Everything turned out ok, thank goodness, the end result being that Kelley was hypoglycemic ... and baby was just feeling the effects of that!! Kelley is only 27 weeks and we need Layla to stay put!!! Silly girls! I will keep you posted!
