Christmas Cookies!

So...everyone knows I do not bake much...that's an understatement!!! But...I decided it was time to step up to the Meme/Grandma plate and bake the sugar cookies just the way Gertie did with my girls! Sarah was excited to jump in and help!! First we baked for her REALLY BIG SHOW at Best Beginnings!!

Sarah was so proud to take the cookies to school on the show day!! She sang songs and then we all had some punch and cookies afterwards! Then we decided to bake again!! We made more Christmas Cookies and we made cookies that spelled... S a r a h and M o l l y!! Then Sarah got busy "painting" her name!!

We measured the sugar, the flour, the vanilla, and the baking powder... and, maybe, just maybe, I measured up to Grammie Gert!

Roxanne Dawn Church Murtaugh

How lovely is this picture? Little Roxi Church...telling her brothers just how to fix that turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. The year was 1958. I can tell Roxi had a way with words even back then! Everyone listens intently...for they, WE, do not want to miss a word she might say...advice she might give...or a lesson she might teach us. We have been blessed to have her in our lives. Roxi is the one who will always have a kind word to say, she can calm any situation, she has a gift. Many times I have wished for her talents at making others feel at ease. It is effortless for her...she is a special one that little Roxanne Dawn!

New Baby Boy!

On Friday I met little Ty...honestly ADORABLE! He is so tiny, so sweet, and, so easy to love. He fills his Mom's heart with such love. It is so exciting to see a new Mom with her first newborn. They just fit together.

I am so looking forward to seeing the first time Daddy with his son. That will be a sight to behold. Tim must be so thrilled at this little man. This baby looks just like his Daddy! It is so great that we all share in the delight of a newborn and that we all have such big wishes for this little ones future.

Can I just tell you that I love this little man! He is really changing before our eyes everyday! 4 months and growing bigger by the minute. My little Townsend Cayden!

More high flying fun with Uncle Dan and Sarah. She really can't see him without asking him to "throw her high up"!!

Quiet Week

Wow...what a quiet week I have had here at home. Don is home with the girls this week so I have hardly seen the Molly or Sarah. I did get to bring Sarah home from school...but I haven't been with Molly hardly at all. Its crazy how I miss them. Sarah did talk to me on the phone...HUGE accomplishment since she hates to talk on the phone. She also talked to Poppa when he was in Florida. Now if we could just get her to talk to Uncle Tegan. He tries every time he calls but we only get away with the speaker phone for those conversations. Hopefully Donny will be back to work soon so I can have my job back!!! I miss those little darlings!!

Picture update to come! You know I have been snapping away with my camera! Tomorrow I will meet Ty Fenton...I will be taking some pictures there too!! I just love looking at their blog and thinking about how wonderful things must be at the Fenton house! Yaya had a picture book that she put together and there is a picture of Tim and Melissa with Ty that is so darling! They are both glowing!

A BIG THANK YOU to my friends that came to Max & Erma's last night! You are all so generous and we appreciate all you help and donations!!

Busy Weekend!

We had a great time Friday night with our good friends Kathy and Jim. It is always so fun to go out with them. It is great to catch up with old friends. It could be months since we have seen or even spoke to each other but...It is just like it was yesterday, on West 226th Street! What a wonderful time that was ... Kathy and I were stay at home Moms, loving it, and we were together all the time! I really miss those days. So when we get together, it is always a pleasure to be reminded of the days gone by!

YaYa became a Grandmother on Friday the 14th!! I had been explaining it to Sarah and Molly...telling them that Melissa, YaYa's daughter was having a baby. I told them she would get to be a Meme, like me. I told them it would be so exciting for her!! She would have her own grand babies to love and cuddle! Sarah's response... I MISS YAYA! I HAVEN'T SEEN HER IN SO SO LONG. SHE WILL BE A GOOD MEME, DON'T YOU FINK SO?? Yes, Sarah, I think so too! Congratulations YaYa... Welcome to the world...Tyler Michael Fenton-6 pounds, 10 ozs.-18 inches to love!! Congrats to Mommy and Daddy Fenton too...who by the way made my day saying they could not wait for him to meet his YAYA!! Yes, Sarah, I get to be a YaYa now!!!

Oh dear Dagmara...I am going to be sooooo sore tomorrow!!! Thanks for the Saturday Yoga lesson. You are an AWESOME instructor!
