THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT MONDAYS...

Thinking back on what a fun weekend we had, for one thing!  Ty Fenton was here for a little playtime while his mommy and Grebbie were off to a funeral.  Cayden came over just to see his buddy Tyler.

After a friendly greeting... Cayden so HAPPY to see Ty... the wrestling match begun...
First Cayden had the upper hand...

then Tyler pulled a fast one and overtook Cayden...

But. being bigger does have its advantages!! Cayden WINS!

Tyler says..."Hey, you wanna go again big guy?  I will beat you at golf any day!"  They were so adorable together!  Thanks for letting me watch him Melissa!  We had so much fun!
 
Sisters, who show up at Meme's house at 6:30 am, who sit on Meme's lap and snuggle a few minutes and then fall back asleep till 8:30!!  Matching book ends!

But best thing about Mondays are... POWDERED DONUTS!!

House Work...

Dan is in the process of becoming a Homeowner!  Already a condo owner...sadly he misses out on the tax break for new home owners.  Dan found this cozy ranch that belonged to my friends' parents.  In fact, my friend Carole, grew up in this house.  Its fun that it has such history, and that we know of the family that was raised inside its doors.   It sits on over 1/2 an acre, with a open backyard, great for Kayla, Dan's dog!  Dan and Dagmara have lots of plans for making it their own... painting, taking down walls, fencing the yard to name a few!  Its fun to watch their excitement as they measure, draw and plot what they will do!  I started to help with some wallpaper removal and I hear Dag's mom is anxious to help out too!!  Somehow working at someone else's house is so much more fun, isn't it?  Now they just wait for the loan to close and then off they go...

Meme's Gems First Concert!

Bridget and I took Sarah, Molly and Cayden to their first concert at Quaker Steak in Sheffield yesterday.  The local band Lawless started the outdoor concert.  Cayden could not sit still...he jumped and bounced, he loved hearing the music!  The girls danced and danced around!  Sarah asked if she could wear her "pretty dress" and Molly wanted to wear a "tutu"!!  Sometimes, you just have to say YES!!!

We went because we knew the second performer was JESSICA ANDREWS,  who sings a favorite song of ours... WHO I AM!  Sarah was excited to see Jessica come on the stage.  She joined right in and belted out some of her favorite lyrics from Jessica's cd!





So much fun!  We can't wait for the next big show!

Fun with Sarah!  She is such a good sport!  Her Aunt Doodie and her Uncle Dan love to tease and mess with her.  She takes it all pretty well and even seems to enjoy it!!

            Happy Birthday to Meme!  Another memory...

My Birthday...May 7th

This year the day started out GREAT!!  Dave gave me the gift of jewelry in the morning before he left for the office.  So sweet...wasn't expecting anything!  The girls came, bringing home made cards of love for their MeMe!  Loved that!  Phone calls and texts came... Tegan's said..."Happy Birthday, oh, Mother of Mine!"  Kelley's echoed ...Mom#2!  Dagnara and Danny wished a happy day.  Cayden and Bridget came in... another homemade card... hand print and all!  How full is my life!?!  Friends sent facebook comments and all was good till....

Dave came in the house at about 11:30 saying take me to the hospital.   Chest pains, shortness of breath, dizzy.  SCARY .  So the day was spent at Fairview Hospital.  Admitted.  Heart cath done.  Meigan and Danny sitting with me, waiting.  We laugh now... Found out Dave has a HEART!! Found out Dave has a GOOD HEART!  Of course, I always knew this!!  So now the questions continue.  More tests.  He has not felt well for about 4 months now.  Tightness, trouble breathing, cough, and the list goes on.  Been to a lung specialist since his dr. thought it might be asthma.  Ruled out!  Let's get a stress test... Thursday visit to hospital... Ruled out heart trouble. Thank God.  So more tests.  

Got home from the hospital about 7:30, leaving Dave to rest and watch the CAVS on tv.  Kids were here waiting to take me out to dinner for my birthday.  Dinner ... home to a HUGE ice cream cake and love!  Pictures to come!  Thanks to everyone who made the day so special!  I love you all!
