Canada~ eh?

What a wonderful week we had in Canada! Nikki and Jim invited us to join them, with Rick and Roxi, for a week long summer holiday!

We started off in Burlington, just outside Toronto. Their home there was so beautiful and cozy~ it was fun to see where they live when they aren't in Florida! Two years ago we were invited to their cottage in Muskoka ~ We were excited to go back and see the remodeled cottage and new boathouse~

The front door, painted red is a welcoming site after the 2 and a half hour drive from the city.

I loved the new steps into the lake... Dotty, Nikki's best pal, loves them too!

Inside holds boats, two of them with a third fishing boat outside in the third bay!
The left side holds chaise lounges and tables and chairs to enjoy each others company! Many friends come to call by boat and an afternoon cocktail party is a daily event!

Dave and I want to thank Jim and Nikki so much for the wonderfully, relaxing trip to Canada! You both made us feel so very welcome and you are so very generous with all that you have to share!
Nikki... you are just the sweetest person and Jim, you better know how lucky you are to have her!

You laughed so hard, that belly laugh we love so much, when we all sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

You said, "Cayden's two!"

Now you are THREE YEARS OLD. Meme cannot believe this is true~ where has the time gone.

You are my FAVORITE GRANDSON and I wish you the happiest of days today! Mommy says when she asks you what you want for your birthday, you say, "THREE CANDLES!" Have fun making a wish and blowing out your THREE CANDLES today Cayden! Meme and Papa can't wait to celebrate with you! Hugs and Kisses Townsend Cayden~

Kayla is the smartest, most well behaved dog I have ever seen. She belongs to Danny. She is staying with us ~ Danny is living here a bit before heading out to Colorado.

Cayden tells Kayla, "come with me Kayla"
"You are a good girl. Want to come with me?"
"Come on, this way Kayla"
"Kayla.... are you listening?"
"Come on"
"Come on Kayla."

"Kayla..."

Cayden gives up. Kayla doesn't listen.
But, really, she is the BEST DOG EVER!
