THEY CALL ME... MEME!

It's about to be a WRAP~

I traveled so much this summer that I missed days
where there were actually bodies, little ones, in my pool.
It's looked empty to me most days since everyone is so far away!
Big weekend coming up...
Bri will be here with Cayden and Mya~
We will also have Sarah and Molly while their parents have
a weekend away!

My garden colors are fading as we enter fall~

Our streets center circle has grown wildly~
no homeowners association anymore.
It was really looking bad, so a couple of us neighbors
got together and decided ENOUGH.  We asked a neighbor who owns a
landscaping company to give us a clean up, replant estimate and we
set out asking others on the street to pick in and share the cost.
We got about 7 to do so!
Work began...
I came home one afternoon and found the center cleared
completely out!

The Douglas Fir planted in the center~
River rock being spread...
Plants planted and mulch laid~

You can even see my house thru the trees now!

From this ...
to this...
Thanks to everyone who chipped in for this project!

Don't you just love the people in your neighborhood?

Lost in my own little world...

It was a teacher work day for Sarah and Molly today
so I got to spend the day with my girls while Beckie
ran some errands.  I was busy doing Music In Motion
so the girls joined me at school and then I took
them to the rec center playground for some fun!

My Sarah is getting so camera shy...
See the face that says...
Stop It Meme!
I explained that I just love taking pictures for her
because I just love her so much!!

Molly on the other hand is happy to oblige...

These girls...
No one at my school could believe how big they
have both grown!

Last Wednesday, Dave, Dennis, Meig and I took a limo
to the Jason Mraz concert at Blossom~
What a fun night it was...

Meig and I ran into this adorable Justin Beiber look alike~ Zach.
How cute is this kid?  He was in line in front of us to
buy a shirt and we, well, I struck up a conversation with
him about his hair!  He was Mr. Personality!  I snapped the picture
of him with Meigan to trick Sarah and Molly~
Girls... Did you believe Meme really saw Justin Beiber?

Tegan called me as we were walking back to the guys
and I might have had a little too much wine in the limo ~ two glasses~
because after a few minutes, I totally stopped dead in my tracks and hollered,
totally panicked
to Meigan...

WHERE'S MY PHONE?  I THINK I LEFT IT ON THE COUNTER...

Meig, who is ever so patient with me, said...

"YOU ARE ON IT"

What an idiot!

Won't even tell you what Tegan said on the other end of the phone!

Danny

Danny is living his dream in Colorado~
This Jason Mraz song, 93 Million Miles, just makes me think of him when I hear it~
and I wanted him to always know we are here for him...

Isn't it so hard when kids grow up and move away?

I miss all my Colorado family, Danny, Kayla, Tegan, Kelley... AND that most precious little Ladybug of mine, Layla Lynn.

You can always come back home!

I love this...

I love when my kids post on their blogs~  like this post

Little Bits of This and That...

Danny finds beautiful hiking spots like this in Colorado
and posts captions like this one on Facebook...
May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous,
leading to the most amazing view.
May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.

- Edward Abbey

I think he is living these words for sure!

Meanwhile, Dave took me here...
Firestone Golf Club
No~ I was not worthy to play this course but play it I did!
I do try my best!

Cayden and his little buddy Ringo are really becoming
great friends!

Mya is a true Ohio State Buckeye fan!
Hopefully she will choose this school and follow her Pam-Paw's
footprints and become a Buckeye Allumi!

Cayden's Mommy sent me a picture of his first self portrait~
It says
I LIKE MY  ______
He wrote in TOES~ Ha, anyone who knows this boy
knows he has some pretty funny "clicking" big toes!
I love that he truly loves what makes him unique!

And lastly...
Maybe that round at Firestone prepared me for the Lesjak Planning Annual
Charity Golf Outing!
Take a close look... see that 3rd in a circle?
That's my team, my name last there in 1A.  We came in 3rd!
But really what's exciting about that is this...
See 1B?
See the first name in 1B?
That's right~
I BEAT MY HUSBAND IN A GOLF TOURNAMENT!

It was a team effort...
and I helped!

Bike Club!

Sarah held her first BIKE CLUB meeting today!

Molly put on her "biking shoes"!

Our bikes were ready to go...

We played with Sofie, the bunny, while we
waited for Mason and Julia to arrive!
Sarah Rose
and
Molly Carolyn

Molly tried to do a cartwheel like her sister Sarah!
Almost!

Meme took Sofie for a ride in her bike
basket~ not too sure she liked it!

The girls gave her some grass to eat!

All happy now!

The CLUB is assembled.
Meme, Molly, Mommy, Julia and Mason~
I asked, "Who will win?"
Sarah responded, "Meme, there are no winners.  Everyone gets their own
time.  It's about the GOAL not winning."

Sarah's Daddy sat on the front porch to keep track of "times
around the track and time"~
Ummm.... It must of been 5 o'clock somewhere!
Chalk and steps~
And they are off...
Mason pulls ahead right away~ BOYS!!

Around the house, up the drive way, then around the garage
and around the front of the house again...
That's 1...
12 times around the course gets you a mile!
WHAT?

Sarah whips right around... she has been practicing!!

Just look at Meme go...

Molly worked the hardest... pumping those little legs so fast.
The course was hard and BUMPY!

At the finish Beckie sure looked HAPPY!

Meme is HAPPY to be done too!

Sarah has us get our notebooks and pens out now.
She tells us to write...
The Date
Our Goal
and
Our Time!

Mason had the BEST TIME
6:29
Woo Hoo!

We all recorded our time~
Sarah then told us to write down our
"NEW GOAL for the next meeting...
How much did we think we could improve?"

She says "It's going to be 1 & 1/2 miles next time"
Molly sure was worn out...

But she still managed to have the neatest printing EVER
in her little notebook!

Mason got to carry the flag around for a victory lap!
He was Happy and Proud!
We CHEERED AND CLAPPED for him!

We ended our meeting with a
YAY~ BIKE CLUB!

And...
maybe there was some porch dancing too!

Thank you Sarah!
We all love BIKE CLUB!
