Happy Fathers Day to Dave!

Words borrowed from Martina McBride...

Everyone that sees you, always wants to know you.
And everyone that knows you, always has a smile.
Your standing ovation...after years of waiting for a chance to finally shine...
Everyone calls you AMAZING,
I just call you mine!

I love the man that you are, the one I married October 13th, 1979. You have raised, in love, 4 beautiful children with me. You have shown them right from wrong, taught them values and how to set goals so that they would achieve success. They have grown into thoughtful, intelligent, caring adults, haven't they? They are so like their Father. Your gifts are endless to them, this I know. How very lucky and blessed we are to have you in our lives. They call you Dad/Father...I just call you mine!

I love you!

It's that time again!! Kelly's Blog has started this fun idea about sharing info on Fridays. Check out the beautiful homes on her site! This week it is PLAYROOMS! Mine is the grown up kind. Pool table, with ping pong table cover as well, is the focal point of the room!! The stairs lead down to my office/den.

Plenty of books for reading...A window that overlooks the family room and kitchen.

Bar with sink in corner. And, of course, our HOCKEY HOUSE would not be complete without the hockey table!

You gotta love hockey, RIGHT??

Soundtrack...

What is the soundtrack of your life? I was thinking about this as I watched a Lifetime Original movie last night. You know the part where the female lead is walking along a pier and the music is playing? It made me wonder, what song would be playing in my life at this moment. Would it be slow, sad, and dreary? Or really upbeat, happy and uplifting? It would depend on my mood. At this stage in my life, it would change like someone was switching stations on the radio. Songs would blend together, making it difficult to even make out what song you were hearing! Right now it would be my playlist song, Its A Beautiful Day. What's yours?

Our Big Night!

Sarah and I went to our concert last night and we had a fabulous time! Of course, Sarah wore her long dress, you know the one just like the ones the Celtic Woman wear. Many people stopped to say how beautiful she looked, just like a princess. We met another little girl there named Daria, who also had on a beautiful gown. Daria's mom took pictures of both the girls since they were so precious together. Our seats, thank you M. Coyne, were great. Sarah waved often, like after every song, and she got many winks and waves back!! Sarah loved every minute. She sat on my lap and was mesmerized by it all. She befriended the ladies next to her, asking what their favorite song was going to be and how she hoped they would get to hear it! She told them her fav was You Raise Me Up, which they saved for their last song, and Sarah joined right in! I love her outgoing nature. During intermission, Sarah looked at me and said, "I just love you Mem, thanks for taking me to this special show". Then she did some twirling in the aisle, just for something to do!! The Celtic Women... there were 4 singers and of course the violinist, who is extraordinary, did a beautiful job. We learned that one of their first shows was in Cleveland, 4 years ago, and they said it was were they got their start. They pretty much perform in the United States all the time now and live here. They sang a beautiful new song that honored America just for the fans here in Cleveland, to say Thank You. The audience loved them... many standing ovations. We also went up to the stage at intermission so that Sarah could get a really good look around. She wanted to get right up there and sing too.

On our way out of the Palace Theater we walked into the room with the STARS on the ceiling that twinkle like glitter and Sarah just had to stop and stare. We were out of the way of the crowd doing the mass exit and I just let her stop and stand there looking up. Sarah asked if she could lay on the floor and pretend she was laying in grass just looking at a starry night. I said of course... SO SHE DID!! People giggled and pointed, so wishing they could do the same thing! She was such a little lady the whole night long. I would take her again in a heart beat!

It's that time again!! This is my master bathroom. I choose a teal color for the back wall and accents. The bedding is also in this color. I love it! Looking in from the bedroom. Closets on either side, his and hers!

My pedestal soaking tub! I love it! I am a "soak in the tub, read a book", kind of girl. Every night!!
Shower on one side... I found this tall towel stand and was so happy with the perfect match to the sink cabinets!
A beautiful frame from Amish country!

The other side...
My favorite part is this... the silver reading tray that Tegan and Kelley gave me for Christmas!

Now just guess who remodeled this bathroom for me?? That's right... Mr. Dave himself!

For my friend Dee...
