Sarah, Julia and I headed WEST... oh wait, really we didn't go far from home!
KD Guest Ranch is about 21/2 hours from our house~ in beautiful Adamsville, Ohio!
Their slogan is
"Where the East meets the West"

IT IS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT FOR BOTH GIRLS!
Each day, twice a day, we would tack our horses and ride! It
was a thrill to bond each day while grooming and tacking!
After each ride we would walk our horses to cool them down~
then we always had peppermints for treats!
I had the beautiful Leata!
We had fun doing activities like Tean Penning, Barrel Racing and
some other fun trick games!
My girls were naturals on their horses!

We rode over some pretty spectacular terrain ~
many pastures and hilly landscapes!
They had a play set~
Dave and Kari Burkley, the owners, have 3 beautiful children.

Braylie and the girls became fast friends!
That week there were only 4 guests on the ranch so it made for a
very special time!

The pool was awesome too!
Our Cabin was Pintos Place!
It had a sitting room, and a loft above it with 2 twin beds,
perfect for my lil western riders!

We spent lots of time rocking on the porch
of the lodge, and we ate 3 meals a day inside!
We had one downpour ~ about 20 minutes one day and received
a DOUBLE RAINBOW as the reward!

Sure enough, the cat could not resist!
Sarah rode SAVANNAH on trails and TANK in the arena because he
was better at barrel racing and cones than SAVANNAH!
