Missy's Shower...

So, I really think I am getting to like the fact that Roxi has moved away!! Why? Because now when she visits, she stays a few days and we have lots of time to be together~ longer since she stays at my house!! Debbie and I planned a shower for Missy and we all spent Friday night doing some prep work! By the way... we did send all the husbands packing! It was a total girl weekend~

We then sent Missy upstairs to bed... nighty night~sweet dreams!
Then Roxi and I acted like little elves on Christmas Eve, setting up the room for Missy's baby shower brunch the next morning!
We all got to wake up together and share a few special moments! Roxi made a beautiful keepsake book for Missy and gave it to her that morning!
I loved this saying... so true.

Debbie baked little zucchini breads as favors... we love when she bakes!

Time for gifts... Debbie and I made a quilt for Missy. Missy lives in New Jersey, so we wanted to make something so she would think of us and know we love her and her sweet baby from afar... so we quilted! Sorry no picture of the front! It says....

We had so much fun! Now Debbie and I are looking forward to Wedsnesday, when we hit the road to New Jersey! Another girls weekend with Roxi and Missy. We will travel to see Missy's new house and we can't wait!

To my dearest friend Roxi... I am so thrilled for you at this time in your life! The joys of being a grandparent are so rewarding! You, my friend, will be the BEST~ I looked forward to being a YAYA to your grandbaby and spoiling to the best of my ability... and I know I am good at it!!! Just hope your willing to share! School Fundraiser!

Western Reserve School had an assembly. They explained to the students how wonderful it would all be... they showed them the wonderful prizes they could win! They cheered and hollered! They danced in the aisles! It was so very exciting! Sarah could hardly wait to get home and tell her Mom and Dad all about it! I was there when she got off the bus too!

"Mom, there is something in my bag that you must only use blue or black ink on it!" she said! Her face all light up like it was Christmas or something!

Beckie said, " Oh really, I can't wait to see what it is!"

It was the PACKET! Sarah could hardly contain her brainwashed excitement!!! She wanted to win this, this and this!!

All we had to do was BUY SOMETHING!

She came over and gave her Papa and Dagmara her sales pitch, and I think she had them at Hello!
They were buying it HOOK LINE and SINKER!
After all... just look at this list of great prizes!~

News from the Colorado Lesjaks...

Some gifts have been shipped... and opened, from the shower we had here in Ohio! More gifts going out this week! Shipping the big truck has been postponed till next spring because the trucking company could not get us in fast enough and we thought we may as well wait till next spring! Kelley's Aunt Helen is hosting a baby shower tomorrow there in Grand Junction for Kelley and Tegan! Meanwhile enjoy their latest news... HERE!

Let's Go To The Zoo... oh baby!

This guy sure lights up my world!! I get out my camera and he yells "CHEESE", and smiles! Then yells, "AHHH" and makes this face... and wants to see the picture!

We decided to go to the Zoo today, since the DINOSAURS exhibit is only at the CLEVELAND ZOO till September 12th. We know how Cayden loves dinosaurs! Last time he went to see them, he was a bit afraid. So we wanted to try one last time, hoping he would enjoy it better!

This time he still clung to Mommy, but he did roar back and really seemed to like them better!

Cayden... you were such a good boy today at the Zoo!! Attentive and alert, you didn't want to miss a thing, or maybe you were afraid there would be another dinosaur around every corner, I'm not sure which ~ but I know you had a great time!! You even said, "Thank you Meme"! I love you buddy!

Kelley and Tegan had some professional pictures taken today to mark this special time in their lives! Steve Ramirez, of Fifth Gear Portrait Designs, went to their home and took some beautiful shots of Kelley's "Baby Bump"! Steve also took their wedding pictures! I am thrilled to see this picture since I am so far from Tegan and Kelley and I haven't seen the changes in Kelley while she's been pregnant!
