I love games. This game, however, is one I do not really care to play. I don't like that my daughter has to worry. That my son in law has to worry. I want the answers to all their questions to come quickly, to stop all this worry. The what ifs. Part of life, I know, but I prefer the here and now, the how to go forward part, the having all the knowledge... with no more google searches, and no more hearsay. Cayden is our treasure. We want to have all the keys to this gem... ones that will help him and keep him strong and safe. DNA testing takes about 4 weeks... we have 1 under our belts. Meanwhile... at 16 months...he is one smart little baby. Cayden repeats everything you say... his vocabulary is INCREDIBLE! He is walking along furniture and "go, go, going..." when we hold his hands to walk. Such a fun little man!! He is free of his bar and shoes... HOORAY! - makes him one happy boy at bedtime- and he is thinning out, some, ok, just a tich, and is Mr. Personality! I just love him up to God!

What a HORRID SIGHT!!! Meme transformed into a WITCH! A good one, but, a witch, none the less!! Papa was a blind referee!! Here we are at Beckie's for dinner and Trick or Treating.
A little Monkey....
A little Black Cat...
A little Princess...

What a fun halloween night it was!! The black cat, princess and monkey were ready to scream "Trick Or Treat"!! Their Mommies were proud to show off their little offspring!!

Molly, the princess worries about how spooky it will all be while wondering around the neighborhood!!
The girls pose in front of their newly placed "For Sale" sign. The Waltons are hoping this will be the last halloween in their first home!!

A little group heading off to get the goods! Dave and I stayed back on the front porch to pass the goods out at Beckie's house!!

This little monkey learned quickly to take the treat and drop it in his bag! Cayden is so SMART!!
Danny and Dagmara went to Cedar Point for the night! Hallo-weekend! Can't wait to hear all about that fun time!!
And...across the miles, Tegan, Kelley, and Bo were getting ready for halloween too!! Here Kelley holds Bo as he sports some stylish glasses!!
Oh wait... they are Tegan's!! The nerd...
Bo is dressed for the cold Colorado weather!! This dog could be a model!!
So cute! For halloween, Bo was a ROOSTER!! Hope to share the picture soon!!

I just love these two...
and their "pretty little dog" hahaha!!

Pilates V...
Boy, do I love pilates! I have been at it now for about 4 weeks and I just think its so great. I have found a beautiful studio near my home, with an instructor who is just so comfortable to work with and is so encouraging to me! So this, plus my yoga class on Mondays with Dagmara, have really been working me over!! I am feeling really tone and tight. It is a great feeling. I am hoping and praying I have found my niche... the one that will keep me interested and working hard.
Sarah had her Halloween Parade today at school! It was a crowded, hot mess. It always is, yet, the parents, and grandparents all show up for the fun! I speak from 14 years experience, teaching at this wonderful school! We all crowd in the "big room" and wait for the kids to come into the center, sing 4 songs and then go back to their classrooms. The parking is crazy, the room is crowded, the kids are ADORABLE!! Donny took some pictures for me while I held Cayden. We laughed since the pictures he took, aimed in Sarah's general direction, are really like playing a "where's waldo" game!! Look for the Black Cat! I found her ... here she is!

Take a look at this adorable "TREAT" Sarah got from her classmate, Jack. His mama worked hard to stamp out this gem for all the kids in the class. Inside was a small bag of M & M's. So clever!

Have a great Thursday!!

Heavy Hearts
Our Tegan and Kelley Marie have suffered a miscarriage this past weekend. We were surprised with the exciting news of a new baby, one that would be due very near their wedding date. We are saddened by this loss. My heart is heavy being so far away from them both. I really just want to hold them both and cry with them. I have never experienced a miscarriage, but Beckie has, and she will, no doubt have the right things to say to her brother and to Kelley.
To Tegan, my son...
I have never been so proud of you as I am today. You have been Kelley's rock these past weeks, her comfort, someone she could cry with, the one person who understands her hopes and fears. You are a good man. I wish I could hug you in person. I am sorry you have to go through this experience. I love you very much.
To Kelley Marie,
I am also very proud of you. You faced your fears this week with an open heart. The ups and the downs, one minute, one day at a time, even though you were so scared. I found this poem I wanted to share with you.
Tiny Footprints On A Mother's Heart
When a baby arrives,
be it for a day, a week, a month, a year or more,
or perhaps only a sweet flickering moment-
the fragile spark of a tender soul
the secret swell of a new pregnancy
the goldfish flutter known only to you-
you are unmistakeningly changed...
the tiny footprints left behind on your heart
bespeak your name as Mother.
I am truly sorry that I cannot hold you, and hug you right now, and I am sorry that you have to know this sorrow. I love you.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner...
We were invited to Danny and Dag's for dinner last night! Dagmara made a Lemon Chicken stir fry that was so delicious! Dessert was fabulous.... big, juicy, chocolate covered apples! Yum!
The table was set so pretty in a new polish table cloth from Dagmara's aunt. It is so warm and cozy in their new house! Take a peek...

The living room...

They have been working hard to finish their master suite. Here are some shots, mind you, the bed is the only thing in the room as they still have some finishing touches to add to the room!!
They took down a wall and made two rooms into one! They then took down another wall to open the room to the bathroom! Refinished the floor and purchased a king size bed!!
Dave got some playtime in with Kayla... the vicious pit bull!! This dog could not be sweeter!!
Danny and Dagmara...

So cute together! Thanks for dinner!! Our turn next!
