Good Golly Miss Molly!

This tiny girl makes me so proud!

We enjoyed a Group Lesson Spring Recital at
Miss Molly's house!  Normal lessons are one on one, private, so the kids
really love the group lessons that happen twice a year!
The children all take their shoes off
when the come in the door for lessons.
Miss Molly, at the piano above, has such a passion
for teaching violin~ the children love her!

I waited till Molly was done playing her two songs before I
snapped my picture~ I caught Molly just before her big smile erupted!

They played a little game with paper flowers.
Each child picked one from a basket and then Miss Molly
would read what the "game" was and the children
would try it!  The flowers said things like "bow holds", "ladders", "kangaroos"
and "sirens"!

Here they are doing SIRENS and Kangaroos... which are fun exercises for them all!!
Be warned!

We drove to Oberlin, where Miss Molly lives for this lesson.

Beckie, Molly and Sarah
ready to walk to Miss Molly's house!

Sarah is very proud of Molly too!

Beckie's girls...

Miss Molly has a nice porch swing
where we waited for the group before us to
finish inside!

Molly, looking a bit nervous before we go inside~

She had nothing to worry about because she loves Miss Molly and
she was ready to perform!

Our little Molly has even
inspired others to want to play the violin~
Check this out!

I've got SUNSHINE... right in my own backyard!

Bridget. Cayden and Mya came up for the weekend!

A certain "barking" neighbor scared Miss Mya a bit!

The sunshine was all a bit much for Cayden!

"Mem. I just can't look at you!"
I loved my little visit with these gems~
Hope you have SUNSHINE in your backyard too!

Cucumber Canoe

By Homemade Radio Show

Walked out in the garden
and I did not understand
Why you were so happy
with all those veggies in your hands.

I said get ready
cuz today will be the day
when we build ourselves a boat
and you and I can sail away.

I said please tell me
can you please just tell me soon
how can you make a boat
with just a cucumber and a spoon.

I said just look here
if you scoop out all the seeds
then get two paddles
we will have all that we need.

YOU AND ME
ME AND YOU
JUST FLOATING AWAY
IN OUR CUCUMBER CANOE

Love this song and my little rowers!

Grandmothers Play Date!

I had Molly for the day.
Carol had Reese for the day.
Meigan had Danny, Emily, and Andrew for the day.

Carol and I went over to Meigs for a play date!

The day was filled with
A boy who dressed himself and said

"Not changing cuz I look handsomest in this!"
and he did look good!

A girl who said,

"The hearts match!"
and they did match!

So happy to be together!
Emily loved playing with Molly!

A girl who thinks her Meme takes way too many pictures!

"Go play with your big friends Mem!"

Look at Miss Reese...
she only had eyes for Danny!

"See Mom, I do look handsome!"

Not sure what the game was here... but it looked
like Molly was busy scheduling the next play date!

Molly showed Emily how to play a game on my Iphone!

Make up and hair...
But with Emily's fashion sense starting early,
she didn't need much help figuring it out!

Look at that face...
"My turn", she said!

She played the game and kept herself busy...

I have fifteen pictures of Meig's living room,
and
3 videos of Emily's pretty face!

Where's Andrew, you might ask?
That boy just ran around so fast that my pictures of him are a blur!

It's fun to have play dates!

"I Speak For The Trees!"

Beckie surprised Sarah one afternoon, you see,
And, if you surprise one, you might just like to surprise two...
Then call Meme and make it THREE!
It was someone's Birthday don't you know?
Dr Seuss would have certainly wanted us to go!
We celebrated his birthday in style...
Watching the Lorax
all the while!

Meme asked the question...

Sarah and Molly came over and I handed Sarah this photo.

I said, "Who are the girls in this picture?"

Sarah said, "It's me and Molly."

I asked, "It is?  Where are you in this picture?"

Molly said, "Let me see"  She looked over Sarah shoulder at the photo.

Sarah said, " Wait... I don't think it is me or Molly.  We don't have those shoes."

I told them the girls in this picture are their Mommy, Beckie and their Aunt Doodie, Bridget.

Molly said, " I love Aunt Doodie's shoes!!"

Sarah said, "I like their shirts!"

Ha!

I think it's like looking back in time.
I knew Sarah would think it was her!
She is the spitting image of her Mommy!

Two girls.
Sisters.

Girls who, with certain little looks, can take me right back in time
to when I was the Mommy.

I love that about these two!
AND...

Both sets of sisters have the some Crazy fashion sense!
