HO HO HO...

Our weekend started off with a trip to Olive Garden for dinner
on Friday night, once everyone got here.
Always a fun place to take kids!

There was a man at the next table and all the kids
kept looking and asking each other, "Do you think its him?"
until Cayden just got up out of his seat, went right over and said
"Excuse me,  are you Santa"
We saw him shake his head yes, and he asked Cayden some questions!
What a treat to watch his little face looking up at this gentleman with a long
white beard.  Cayden came back to the table and said
"Yep, that's him alright!"
It was priceless...
wish I had taken a picture!
Bridget thanked "Santa" for making Cayden's day!

Molly sat by Mya to help "take care of her"!
Our Mya the cry-a is getting much better ~
Her Mommy and Daddy got to actually enjoy
eating out at the adult end of the table!

Saturday morning the kids tore into their packages!
Mya was happy with Mr Potato Head!
Sarah, Molly and Layla got many arts and craft
gifts this year.  Lots of coloring and painting going on here
and in Grand Junction!
We opened cousin gifts via Facetime with Layla and her cousins!
Mya really liked talking with Layla ~ they will
have so much fun together this summer when Layla
comes to visit!
We sent Layla a microphone to sing and dance with and she
was just starting to get used to it... I expect videos of her singing
into it in no time at all!

Cayden had asked Santa for a Ninja sword, ninja clothes, a helicopter and a
crossbow.  Cayden told me Christmas day that Santa "forgot"
his ninja clothes.  Did I think they were at my house??
He opened all his gifts ...
but the last one he opened
really made him happy!
"NINJA CLOTHES!"
What a thrill!
"Look, everyone"
And then our warrior was OFF...
Presenting
Ninja Cayden!
I, unfortunately got the flu... spent most of my time on the couch.
Kelley and Tegan sent Dave and I gifts too~
some cocktails glasses and cubes for Dave and a
beautiful ring, one that Kelley has too, for me.
So sweet!

Games still went on ...

The kids had fun with Cayden's helicopter and Uncle Cyle~
They wanted him to land it on the fan blades...

Molly played on my phone...
She even took some video...

Even though I couldn't smooch on my gems as much as
I would have like... I think it was a fun weekend together!

Ha... I was just finishing up my blog post when I got this video~

See... singing~ well maybe... the music and clapping it plays
must throw her for a loop!
Love her little face at the end!
I would say she likes this new microphone!

Weekend Fun...

Silly Sarah had a swim meet!
She is constantly improving her times on
each event she is in and I have to say,
she swims in MANY.
She does Free, Breast, Back, Butterfly,
and Relays!
We are so proud!
Molly is definitely Sarah's BIGGEST FAN!
It's a tough job but she loves her sister so much!
Molly ... a little overheated!

She brings things to wave and cheer with~ like this
sparkler!  Meme loves hanging with the girls!

Oh those gems of mine!

Let's talk about Sarah...
She has been busy on Swim Team~
Doesn't she look so grown up?
She is quite the artist and for Christmas she hand painted
this picture of Bronson for her Mommy.
She loves to watercolor and is really getting good at it!
The big news is that she FINALLY has a front tooth that is
about to come out!
She is thrilled...
Molly, not so much!
We had a visit from Frankie and Tom, along with Lilly and
her Mommy Kaitlan!
Molly enjoyed "babysitting" Lilly... until~
Lilly sneezed and lots of stuff came out of her nose~
As I rushed to wipe Lilly's nose, Molly looked up at me and said,
"Meme, this is my worst nightmare"
Ha!
They did have fun reading and playing together!

My sister Frankie sure loves her grand baby Lilly~
Lilly enjoyed this "Papa" too!
Our boy Cayden has been a busy hunter apprentice to his
Daddy!
He is proud to be like his Daddy!
Mya just might want to hunt too!
She is just busy being pretty...
working on potty training~ I just had a call
from her and she told me she "pooped" on the potty!
Meme is so proud!
I have made them a new blog header...
I love these pictures of all of them!
Lastly, my sweet Laylabug has been loving the snow
in Grand Junction!
Love her!

She loves playing outside with her Mommy and Papa!
I love receiving pictures from Tegan and Kelley~
Here is one of Layla working on an art project
I sent her for Christmas!
Yum Yum!
A party in her hair!

I have "borrowed" some photos from the kids blogs~
Thanks for sharing!
Our Christmas is coming here at Meme and Papa's house.
Bridget and her family will come for the weekend next week~
Beckie and her family will join us for a kids exchange.
Things have been shipped to Layla and we will all face time together on the
12th!  Be ready Danny! You too!
I miss my Colorado Lesjaks this year but I am counting down the
days till they come for a week this summer~ and of
course I will visit them in March too!
My gems have been busy!

Shut the Front Door!

There is one group of friends that I have...
We call ourselves the
"Hollar & Swallor" group after our
fun trip to Nashville, where in every bar ... well, that's
just what you do!

Dave and I love to play the game Shut the Box.
Dave decided he would make his own version in his wood shop
for our Hollar and Swallor group!
He got busy...

Looking good!

The finished project...
Inside...

They loved their gifts!
Holla....
Oh that Honey Jack!
We are a good looking bunch!
Shut the ...
BOX
was a big hit!
Someone won $80.00!
